Her area of expertise and research is predominantly in development economics, education and health economics, public policy and gender studies with a special focus on intergenerational and mobility studies. Her research work has been published in leading international journals such as Social Indicators Research, PloS One, and International Journal of Social Economics. She has also published a book chapter for the book ‘Population Change and Public Policy’ published by Springer Publishing Company. She is an active contributor of articles to platforms such as live mint, Ideas for India and IHDS newsletters with an aim to disseminate the findings of her research to a larger general audience and contribute to the society in a meaningful way. She has presented her work at various renowned international conferences in the area of development economics such as SASE, HDCA and RDW conferences. She is a recipient of the prestigious RDW fellowship award by the International Labor Organization, Geneva for her work on the role of occupation on interpersonal violence.
