I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Infrastructure Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur. Before joining IIT Jodhpur, I spent 4 years as a postdoc (Jan, 2016 - Dec, 2019) at Laboratory of Atmospheric Chemistry, Paul Scherrer Institut, Switzerland. I investigated the effect of different combustion technologies, operating conditions and atmospheric oxidation regimes on gas and particulate emissions from residential biomass combustion. Further, my research focused on long-term quantification, characterization and source apportionment of PM2.5 carbonaceous aerosols in a polluted Indian megacity, New Delhi.
During my Ph.D. at IIT Kanpur, I have worked on understanding the link between physico-chemical properties of ambient aerosols and their Cloud Condensation Nuclei (CCN) activity.
Ph.D. thesis: "Effects of aerosol size, chemical composition, mixing state, and volatility on cloud condensation nuclei activity (CCN) in the ambient atmosphere".
