IIT Jodhpur is one of the second generation IIT established in 2008 in Sun City Jodhpur and is a Pearl in the great Thar Desert. It is serving the Nation and mankind by providing technological education and disseminating knowledge through various technological events time to time. Further, It is blessed with Sun Energy, freely available during Day Hours, however, utilizing it efficiently is a major challenge. IIT Jodhpur has taken initiative in this direction by putting efforts on harnessing it more efficiently together with emphasizing on other renewable energy sources to mitigate the issues and challenges with everyday depleting fossil fuels. In this regard, Institute is offering several energy programs and specialized courses.
It is a great privilege to host a National Conference on Energy Materials and Devices (E-MADs) 2022 at IIT Jodhpur during December 16 – 18, 2022, emphasizing on the need of energy storage and hydrogen driven energy technologies. This conference will provide a unique platform to update about the recent trends in materials and devices, covering not only the fundamentals but also providing details about the scaling issues and challenges from laboratory to commercial utilization. The conference will cover recent trends in lithium and beyond lithium ion electrochemical energy storage materials and devices, novel concepts on metal ion and photorechargeable batteries, Green hydrogen generation and storage, materials and technologies for water splitting for scaled hydrogen generation. In addition, a special emphasis will be given on computational aspects of designing materials for these applications including the fundamental density functional and molecular dynamics theories, and machine learning/artificial intelligence based approaches for materials selection/screening towards accelerating the materials hunt and uses for such applications.
NC-EMAD 2022 Organizing Committee believes that this conference will bring experts from academia, and industries, providing current status, issues and challenges in the field, together with a platform for sharing and exchanging their ideas. It will benefit the participants such as research scholars, students and other stakeholders not only by gaining the current update in the field but also building collaborations among participants for potential upcoming energy storage and hydrogen energy technologies.
