Sarkar Research Group

Synthesis and Applied Semiconductor Nanomaterials laboratory

We are a nanomaterials synthesis research group. We work at the interface of chemistry, physics, and materials science. Our primary focus is to develop novel functional semiconductor nanomaterials and try to understand their crystal growth and photo-physical behavior in solution. Also, we intend to find their possible applications in photovoltaics and photocatalysis, including single-step organic reaction and photo-electro catalysis. We are specially focused  on developing near infra-red absorbing anisotropic semiconductor nanomaterials and finding their application in photocatalysis.
