About Me

I am working as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Mathematics at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IIT J), India. As a researcher, I work boardly in the areas of Machine Learning and Categorical Data Analysis. Before joining IIT J, I was working with a team of Quantitative Analysts at Syntel Inc as Manager (Derivatives). I have also held regular academic positions at Goa Institute of Management, Goa as an Assistant Professor and as Lecturer at Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani, Goa Campus. I have hobby of writing poems and articles on issues of social impact.

• Gold Medal for scoring highest marks (all sciences) in Master of Science, Government College, Kota (presently, Kota University), Rajasthan, India, 1999.

Work Experience

• Worked at Syntel Inc from November 2008 to February 2010 as Manager, Derivatives. Work was mainly related to Derivatives Pricing, Quantitative Finance, Research and Analytics, Econometric Research, Predictive Modeling and Risk Analysis
• Worked as Assistant Professor at Goa Institute of Management from August 2008 to October 2008. Handled courses such as Managerial Statistics and Operations Research. Guided several students on various projects on Applications of Probability, Inferential Statistics, Econometrics, Queueing Models, Inventory Systems and Linear Programming.
• Worked as Lecturer at BITS Pilani-Goa Campus from August 2007 to July 2008. Handled courses such as Multivariable Calculus, Optimization Techniques, Probability & Statistics and Operations Research. Guided several students on various projects on Probability, Inferential Statistics, Baysian Inference etc.
• Worked as Research Associate at Department of Mathematics, IIT Bombay from January 2007 to June 2007. The Research project was by the Department of Science and Technology, titles as "Design of component reliability test plans and their software developments"
