About |
I am currently
working as a Professor of
Electrical Engineering at IIT Jodhpur,
Rajasthan,
India. Before joining
IIT Jodhpur, I had worked in
Prof.
Bernard Kippelen's
Research Group at School of Electrical and Computer
Engineering at Georgia
Institute of Technology,
Atlanta, USA, as a
Postdoctoral Research Fellow
(2008 to 2011). I had
completed my Ph.D. in
microelectronics (2003 to
2008) from Electrical
Engineering Department,
IIT
Bombay, under
supervision of
Prof. V Ramgopal Rao.

Research |
My research group (FLAME Research Group) primarily focuses on devices for flexible and large area electronics and applications for circuits and systems. Specific focus is given on devices such as organic field-effect/thin-film transistors (FETs/TFTs) and resistive random access memory (RRAM) devices. Many unconventional semiconductor devices are also explored. Demonstration of newer process technologies for reducing the impact on environment with eventual biodegradability of systems is also among one of the eventual goals. Research details can also be seen on my Google Scholar or Scopus profile. |
Teaching |
I teach various courses in the area of semiconductor devices and circuits. Some of the courses which I use to teach at IIT Jodhpur are: Introduction to Electronics (21004), Microelectronics-I (22005), Microelectronics-II (60212), VLSI Design and Technology (60282), IC Technology (60242/EE652), Analog Electronics (EE314), Digital IC Design (EE618), Digital Logic and Design (EE222), Physics of Semiconductor Devices (EE111), and Flexible and Printed Electronics (EEL7330).

Prospective Candidates |
Ph.D.: Highly motivated
prospective Ph.D. candidates from Engineering/Sciences
background in EE/ECE/Physics/Materials Science
with strong interest in device physics and microelectronics are always welcomed to
join the FLAME Research Group. Candidates having
M.Tech. degree or B.Tech. with GATE can apply to
"Interdisciplinary Research Platform (IDRP) on IoT
and Applications". Interested candidates with M.Sc.
(Electronics/Physics/Materials, and other relevant
subjects) with CSIR/UGC JRF or DST INSPIRE or
equivalent are strongly encouraged to apply to EE Department. Postdoc: Candidates are advised to apply for National Postdoctoral fellowship or any other similar equivalent fellowship to work with FLAME Research Group. All prospective candidates can also send their detailed resume/CV and Statement of Purpose to me directly for any relevant discussions. Some institute PDF positions are also available. Apply through this link. |
