Digital Radio Mondiale is a standard developed for digital audio broadcasting technologies. It’s an openly standardized digital broadcasting system for all broadcasting frequencies, including LW, MW, SW, band I, II (FM band) and III(above 30 MHz).This technology is used to work over the AM broadcasting, especially shortwave. DRM is capable to fit more channels than AM of better quality & at low power utilization into a given amount of bandwidth. Development of DRM revolutionized the broadcasting technology & opens a new door to utilize the limited available bandwidth. Efficient use of bandwidth is possible due to availability of modern compression techniques & low cost processing through computers. That is the main principle behind the DRM.

IIT Jodhpur in partnership with UNICEF Jaipur has developed a software package for android platform which can provide solutions and can help in improving quality of home based Antenatal counselling,Postnatal Care,Childhood care through integrating all these in one device weighing less than 400gms and easy and is also low cost which can be given ASHA/ANMs.It is envisaged that the package will be developed in such a way that the ANC, Natal and Postnatal care modules are integrated and also data can be transferred automatically to a centralised server( if it is not connected to the internet, then it stores a local copy and waits to upload till it is connected to the data network, this is a useful feature for rural India, where in some cases data networks on mobile networks may not be available) from where an SMS(Text Message) can be delivered two days prior to next schedule visit both to the mothers and to the frontline functionaries.

- Link Budget Estimation for ship-to-ship communication
The purpose of this research is to analyze, model and simulate the possible
communication scenerios that occur on naval ships by exploring the possible
solutions/ models.
A traditional link budget for narrowband systems based on the Friis transmission
formula, does not accurately predicts the received signal’s power in naval systems.
The various models was incorporated for inputs such as frequency. Ship transmitters
equipments, antenna Characteristic, Cables alternuation parameters, propagation
models, and possible dynamics of platforms.
