Our chemical Microtubule Biology Laboratory is part of the department of Bioscience and Bioengineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur. We are available at lab no 305 at the second floor of BSBE building. Our lab is working at the interface of chemistry and biology which involve peptide synthesis, small molecule synthesis against Alzheimer’s Disease and cancer. Our interest also includes Chemical Biology (Microtubule Function, ROS & Stem Cells) and designing Biophysical Platform for understanding biological events.Read More

In this venture, we report an easy and efficient strategy to culture cortical and hippocampal primary neurons from the E14-E16 embryo of Sprague–Dawley rat. This generates spontaneous neurospheres within 6–7 days of primary neuron culture of E14-E16 embryo. The neurospheres generated could be used for screening of a number of different potential neural differentiating agents, as they are rich in neural progenitor cells (NPCs), and they could also be used to screen drugs for various neurodegenerative diseases.
