Force4 Magix v0.5
Author: Zafar Ahmed Ansari

Minimum system requirements:

Windows XP:
512 MB RAM and above.
1.7 GHz processor and above.

Windows 7:
1 GB RAM and above.
1.7 GHz processor and above.

You must have Java 3D 1.5 or above installed.
You must have JRE 1.7 or above installed.
First install JRE and only then install Java 3D.
For 64 bit systems take care that you install the 64 bit versions of Java 3D if you have 64 bit JRE installed.

Either use the installer (Windows) or untar the tarball for installing to a suitable location (subsequent read/write access during running is required in the installation directory). If (as in Windows 7) the default installation directory is write protected then use any other location.
The ports 5555 and 5556 need to be free for usage for the server to run.
Linux users may face problems with the video.

Running the game:

For playing you need to have a server running. You can either start you own server and invite others to connect to it or connect to an existing server on another machine.
To start a server on your machine double click on Force4_Magix_Server icon/startServer.bat.
To start playing double click on the Force4_Magix icon/startClient.bat.
You will first need to create an account to start. After registering on the server you can login and play.
Enter "localhost" for connecting to a server running on the machine same as that of the client. If the server is running elsewhere you will need the IP address of that machine.
There should be no proxy server in between.
For testing there is a profile built in with the username 'zafar' and password 'zafar'.

Controls

Move around with the arrow keys, change direction with the mouse and shoot with the mouse button. To exit press the Esc key or the End key.
