Technical Society IIT Jodhpur

Overview

WE organise lectures for the students who are interested in the Automobile Club.
WE also organise workshops on software like SolidWorks and Ansys, to provide members with latest tools for automotive engineering.
WE believe in our dream and follow our passion. That’s why we say -Passion to Podium.

Events

CAD Knight
As we all know the importance of intuitive Virtual Design in present technical/industrial era. The entire process including prototype creation, manufacturing, testing, enhancing intelligence begins with a 3D Model & Analysis using computer software like SolidWorks, Catia, Ansys, etc.
Auto-Quiz
Automobile Club brings to you a chance to brag about your knowledge of wheels. Not just the glossy finish or matte feel of the celeb statuses of dream machines and brain child of some of the finest.
Clash of KLANNs
Design a mechanical walker using linkage mechanisms which converts rotatory motion of motor into footstep motion and simulate it with DPDT switch to cross given arena

Solaris
Design a solar powered car capable to knock its way out turns and obstacles like small pebbles, sand etc., and is tested for speed , maneuverability and handling.
Full Throttle
Make a wireless remote controlled machine, powered only by an IC engine, which can race against other opponents on an off-road dirt track with many obstacles.

Projects

Here lists the undergoing projects under Robotics Club. These projects are beingdone by students of different domains sharing similar interests.
SAE Efficycle
  • “EFFI-CYCLE” derived from Efficient-Cycle promote the objective of providing an opportunity to the students to conceive, design and fabricate a three wheel configuration vehicle powered by human-electric hybrid power and capable of seating two passengers catering to the day to day mobility needs.

The vehicle must be aerodynamic, engineered for performance & safety and ergonomically designed. The objective is to promote innovation and generate consciousness amongst the young engineers towards environment-friendly mobility solution.

SAE Baja
The BAJA SAE is an event for the undergraduate engineering students, organized globally by the Society of Automotive Engineers, USA.

The event originated in the name of Mini - BAJA, in the year 1976 at University of Carolina. Since then, the event has spanned across six countries - USA, Mexico, South Africa, Korea, Brazil and India. The BAJA SAE tasks the students to design, fabricate and validate a single seater four - wheeled off road vehicle to take part in series of events spread over a course of 3 days that test the vehicle for the sound engineering practices that have gone into it, the agility of the vehicle in terms of gradability, speed, acceleration and maneuverability characteristics and finally its ability to endure that back breaking durability test.

HPVC (Human Powered Vehicle Challenge)

ASME's international Human Powered Vehicle Challenge (HPVC) provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate the application of sound engineering design principles in the development of sustainable and practical transportation alternatives. In the HPVC, students work in teams to design and build efficient, highly engineered vehicles for everyday use—from commuting to work, to carrying goods to market. This project is in its inception.

RC IC car

This project provides ample opportunity for beginners to learn the basics of the automobile and nurture them for higher projects such as SAE BAJA, HPVC, etc. In this project, they have to make a wireless remote controlled machine, powered only by an IC engine, which can race against other opponents on an off-road dirt track with many obstacles
