Regional Young Investigators Meeting 2019 of west region was organized at IITJ. IndiaBiosciences Crafting Your Career Workshop was also organized as pert of this event. Researchers from throughout India participated in the event.

PhD thesis defense of Nidhi Sharma who is first student of our lab. PhD thesis subject was The role of NLRs in inflammation, cell death and gliomas.

An initiative of the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, to bring gender parity in the different fields of Science & Technology (S&T), where females are under-represented. This program motivated and provided exposure to girl students (after high school) of nearby government schools.

World Immunology day was celebrated by our lab with Kendriya Vidyalaya students. Event was the fusion of interactive video lectures, immunology quizes, other knowledge based games and snacks.

An initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development to nurture a spirit of creativity and enquiry, love for Science and Mathematics and effective use of technology amongst children. Also to encourage and support those who have talent and interest in the research in these areas.

Ishaan Vikaas, an initiative of the MHRD, has been launched as a comprehensive plan to bring selected school girls and boys, from the North-Eastern states into close contact with the IITs during their vacation periods with the objective of opening up the young minds and giving them a broad overview of the future paths which they would like to traverse.

Department gathering is in form of lunch where all students and faculty of department are present to discuss about science and other stuffs.

Lab outings are organized to bring lab memebrs close to each other and develop the sense of team within them It also helps in maintaining good lab culture.

Lab lunch are informal lab gatherings to discuss about science and also about other things. Also some time to relax.
